Yeo to be associate coach of Team Canada for 2018 IIHF World Championship

The St. Louis Blues are out of the NHL playoff picture, but coach Mike Yeo's schedule is filling up fast. On Monday he was named associate coach for Team Canada at the 2018 IIHF World Championship.

Carolina Hurricanes head coach Bill Peters will be head coach for Team Canada and Florida Panthers head coach Bob Boughner will be assistant coach.

The tournament will run from May 4-20 in Copenhagen and Herning, Denmark.

The Blues were eliminated from playoff contention in a 5-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche in their season finale Saturday night.
