'Inside the Magic: L.A. Story with Nikola Vucevic' premieres Feb. 15 on FOX Sports Florida
ORLANDO, Fla. -- On Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 10 p.m., FOX Sports Florida, the exclusive television home of the Orlando Magic, will debut a brand new “Inside the Magic” upon conclusion of the Orlando vs. San Antonio Spurs game. Head west with us as we spend the day walking around the University of Southern California campus with former Trojan and fifth-year Magic center Nikola Vucevic. The campus visit was a homecoming for the big man as Orlando practiced at USC prior to their game against the Los Angeles Clippers. From the Galen Center basketball practice court to his dorm at Troy Hall, Vucevic reminisced about his time in college during a campus tour.
Vucevic’s path to the NBA is an international story as he was born in Switzerland, raised in Belgium and spent his teenage years calling Bar Montenegro home. He came to America as a teenager and went to Stoneridge Preparatory School for his senior year of high school before being recruited to USC by Coach Tim Floyd. Vucevic began to excel his sophomore season and was named the PAC-10 most improved player. He declared for the NBA Draft after earning All PAC-10 honors as a junior. Vucevic was drafted 16th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers before coming to the Magic as part of a four team trade in 2012. The show wraps up with a pair of interviews featuring former USC teammate and current Toronto Raptor Demar DeRozan and his USC learning specialist Jenn Castro.
