NC Central controls 2nd half to beat McNeese State 74-66 (Dec 17, 2016)

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) Patrick Cole had 21 points and Del'Vin Dickerson added nine points and had a career-best 10 rebounds to help lead North Carolina Central to a 74-66 win over McNeese State on Saturday.

Dajuan Graff was 6 of 11 from the floor for 12 points while dishing out six assists for North Carolina Central (7-5).

McNeese held a 36-35 advantage at the half and was up 42-39 with 16:01 left. Cole had a layup and hit a jumper to give the Eagles a 49-45 lead with 12:26 left as the Eagles had a 15-4 run midway in the second period and won the second half 39-30.

The Cowboys (2-7), who have lost four straight, shot 63 percent in the first half but cooled off in the second period, hitting 24 of 57 for the game. NCCU maintained a consistent 39 percent on 26-of-66 shooting.

Jarren Greenwood led the Cowboys with 15 points.
