Klinewski scores 25 points in Lafayette's 84-67 victory (Feb 11, 2018)

EASTON, Pa. (AP) Matt Klinewski scored 25 points and Lafayette defeated Loyola-Maryland 84-67 on Sunday.

Klinewski was 9-of-12 shooting and had six of the Leopards' 39 rebounds, 17 more than the Greyhounds. Alex Petrie and Justin Jaworski each made three 3-pointers and scored 16 and 14 points, respectively. Paulius Zalys had 10 rebounds for the Leopards (8-17, 6-8 Patriot League), who have won three of their last four and split the season series with Loyola (8-17, 6-8).

The Leopards shot 57 percent and made half of their 20 shots from the arc.

Tied at 36 at halftime, the Greyhounds took the lead seconds into the second half on an Eric Stafford basket and led the rest of the way. The lead reached 71-61 with 4:45 left and grew to 19 on a Kyle Stout 3-pointer with two minutes remaining.

Andrew Walker scored 15 points to lead the Greyhounds.
