Mayweather to UFC? 'It's real' says Dana White; Not so fast, says Floyd

Hold on to your hats for this one.

Dana White told ESPN that Floyd Mayweather is working on a deal to join UFC.

"It's real," White said to Brett Okamoto. "He (Mayweather) was talking about [boxing] Conor McGregor. Was that real? Have you heard Floyd talk about many things that aren't real?"

Mayweather defeated McGregor by TKO in the 10th round of their late August super fight in Las Vegas. The spectacle generated more than $600M in revenue.

If this were to happen, say a 3-4 fight deal for Mayweather, it could be a game changer for the UFC!

UPDATE

After White's comments, Mayweather had his say... and don't expect to see him in the UFC anytime soon.

“I never said I was going to fight in the UFC,” Mayweather said. “I didn’t say that. I just said if I wanted to and what I could do. ‘Would’ and ‘could’ do isn’t the same thing. I’m not going to do it, though.”
