Jene Morris scored 16 of her 23 points in the first half when San Diego State took a 19-point lead on the way to an 84-61 upset of No. 23 TCU on Tuesday night.

Morris scored 12 points and Quenese Davis had seven as San Diego State (15-9, 7-5 Mountain West Conference) went ahead 29-10 midway through the first half for its first win over a ranked team this season after three losses.

Paris Johnson added 19 points and Davis finished with 14 points, a career-high 13 rebounds and seven assists for the Aztecs, whose lead never slipped below double digits.

TK LaFleur led TCU (19-6, 9-3) with 18 points and Helen Sverrisdottir had 16. Leading scorer Emily Carter went 0 of 7 from the field and was held to two points for the Lady Frogs, who were outrebounded 43-32 and committed 23 turnovers.
