Kyle Noke out, Amir Sadollah may get the call to face Yoshihiro Akiyama

Kyle Noke has been forced out of his upcoming bout against Yoshihiro Akiyama in Japan on September 20, but the UFC is hoping to replace him with former Ultimate Fighter winner Amir Sadollah.

Noke suffered a knee injury in training according to a report via Ariel Helwani on UFC Tonight, and he will be unable to compete as early as September when he was expected to face Akiyama in Japan.

While no formal arrangements have been made for a replacement, the UFC is currently targeting former Ultimate Fighter winner Amir Sadollah to step in and take his place for the fight card in Japan.

Sadollah was originally expected to compete on the Oct 4 UFC Fight Night card in Stockholm, Sweden, but it appears UFC officials favor this matchup instead.

The final decision has not been made yet, however, so for now Akiyama remains without an official opponent for his return to the Octagon after being out of action for the last two years.
