The local World Cup organizing committee in Brazil wants all the different host cities to offer the same level of transport services in the 2014 tournament.

The committee organized a three-day seminar to discuss the challenges being faced by the 12 cities and the federal government.

The committee says that although there are differences among the cities, they need to provide ''a standardized level of service'' for land and air transport.

Committee transportation manager Elaine Felske said Friday that proper ''transportation says a lot about the success of an event.''
