Rangers trimmed the gap to Scottish Premier League leader Celtic to five points thanks to a 4-0 thrashing of St. Johnstone after its Glasgow rival's surprise 2-0 defeat at Motherwell.
Croatia striker Nikica Jelavic scored Rangers' first and last goals at Ibrox, with Kyle Lafferty and Sasa Papac also finding the net for the defending champions.
Celtic's 17-match unbeaten run, which stretched back to Nov. 10, ended at Fir Park, with John Sutton scoring in the second minute and again in the 49th from the penalty spot.
Rangers has two games in hand over its fierce rival.
