Sarcastic Mourinho insists Cech has not handed in transfer request

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has denied reports suggesting that Petr Cech has asked for a move in the January transfer window.

The 32-year-old Czech has featured just six times for Chelsea this season, with Mourinho installing Thibaut Courtois as his first-choice goalkeeper in the Premier League and opening two Champions League group games.

Last month, Cech indicated that he would be willing to leave Stamford Bridge if he continues to remain as Mourinho's back-up option, while recent speculation has linked him with moves to Arsenal, Real Madrid and AC Milan.

When told about reports of Cech wanting to leave, Mourinho replied: "In which Mickey Mouse website? In which Mickey Mouse blog?"

"I promise what I'm telling you is the truth. On my desk – and normally all information arrives at my desk – I have zero proposals.

"At this moment 'news' is coming every day, every minute, every second – some news on some website, I don't know where they get the news.

"In this moment Cech is our goalkeeper. He has a contract for two more years and is a fantastic professional.

"Not once has Petr Cech knocked on my door to inform me about his desire to accept some proposal. That is the truth and there is nothing more I can say."
