Liverpool acquires Cissokho on loan from Valencia

Liverpool made Aly Cissokho its fifth signing of the summer after taking the France defender on a season-long loan from Valencia.
The 25-year-old Cissokho, who has also played for FC Porto and Lyon, will provide competition for Jose Enrique at left back.
''I've always dreamt of one day signing for a really legendary club,'' said Cissokho, whose one France cap came in August 2010 against Norway. ''I've been lucky enough to play for a few top sides, and so to now get the chance to play for a club like Liverpool, it's just fantastic.''
Valencia said Liverpool has the option of buying the pacy Cissokho at the end of his loan deal.
Cissokho joined the Spanish club on a four-year contract from Lyon last summer. While playing for Porto earlier in his career, he was reportedly close to a move to AC Milan before a medical test showed Cissokho apparently had a dental problem that could cause muscular injuries.
He joins fellow offseason signings Iago Aspas, Luis Alberto, Simon Mignolet and Kolo Toure at Anfield. Liverpool began the Premier League season with a 1-0 win over Stoke on Saturday.
