Sporting Kansas City won for the ninth time in their past 10 matches, defeating short-handed Real Salt Lake 2-1 in a contest between Major League Soccer conference leaders.
Ike Opara scored in the final minute of stoppage time to secure the victory for Kansas City, which extended its lead in the Eastern Conference to four points over Montreal.
Salt Lake took the lead on Robbie Findley's goal in the 56th minute but went a man down in the 67th when Chris Wingert was shown his second yellow card. Kansas City's Soony Saad got the equalizer a minute later.
The loss ended Salt Lake's unbeaten streak of 12 matches across all competitions.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles beat Vancouver for its third win of the month, moving three spots up the Western Conference standings to third position, just a point behind Portland.
Jose Villarreal and Gyasi Zardes scored goals for the Galaxy, who started the day in sixth place but vaulted past Vancouver, FC Dallas and Colorado.
Camilo scored his MLS-best 13th goal of the season in the 19th minute for the Whitecaps.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Jose Goncalves and Diego Fagundez scored in stoppage time to give New England a victory over Columbus.
Goncalves headed home a corner in the 91st minute for his first career MLS goal, and Lee Nguyen added a second score three minutes later.
New England ended a two-match losing streak.
FIRE 4, D.C. UNITED 1
BRIDGEVIEW, Illinois (AP) - Chicago ended a two-match losing streak with a victory over struggling D.C. United.
Chris Rolfe scored twice and Joel Lindpere added his first goal of the MLS season for the Fire, who moved into seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings. Chicago won for the fourth time in its past six matches.
D.C.'s road futility continued. United is winless in 10 matches away from home this season and has won just once in its last five matches overall.
FC DALLAS 0, IMPACT 0
MONTREAL (AP) - The winless streaks dragged on for the Montreal Impact and FC Dallas, as the teams played to a scoreless draw.
Montreal has now gone five matches without a victory, while Dallas has not won since May 25 and is winless in its last seven matches.
The Impact, level on points with New York in second place in the Eastern Conference, also failed to score at home for the first time this season.

CHESTER, Pennsylvania (AP) - Portland continued its strong play on the road with a scoreless draw against Philadelphia.
The Timbers got their eighth draw on the road this season and moved within three points of Real Salt Lake for first place in the Western Conference.
Neither team was able to muster many scoring opportunities. The Union had two corners in stoppage time but couldn't convert either one.

SEATTLE (AP) - DeAndre Yedlin scored his first career MLS goal to help Seattle salvage a draw against Colorado, a team the Sounders had beaten seven straight times.
The Sounders would have set an MLS record if they had beaten the Rapids an eighth consecutive time.
Drew Moor tapped in a goal on a corner in the 60th minute to put Colorado ahead before Yedlin got the equalizer five minutes later.
RED BULLS 0, TORONTO FC 0
TORONTO (AP) - Toronto FC's scoring woes continued as it drew 0-0 with New York, its third straight match without a goal.
Toronto played without top strikers Danny Koevermans and Robert Earnshaw, who were out with injuries. The side hasn't scored since its 3-3 draw on July 3 with Montreal.
New York managed just one shot on goal in the first half - a low shot by Thierry Henry that was stopped by Toronto's Joe Bendik.
