Watch: Nats manager Matt Williams booed at end of press conference as frustration mounts

BY Brett Smiley • September 9, 2015

The Nationals entered the season with high expectations after signing ace Max Scherzer in January to complement an already solid staff and a team built to win now. But they've faltered and floundered to 71-67, now six games behind the Mets -- who are headed in the opposite direction and seem destined for the playoffs.

All of that said, the NL East especially has witnessed some spectacular September collapses before, so don't circle the calendar for Citi Field in October just yet.
