Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant's altercation at a Miami nightclub Sunday night was with the entourage of a "famous rapper" according to reports that surfaced Wednesday.

Dallas television station WFAA reported that David Wells, Bryant's mentor, confirmed Bryant was involved in a verbal altercation at the Fontainebleau Hotel's Club LIV with members of a famous rapper's entourage, and that Bryant was detained by police.

The report did not identify the alleged rapper involved and no incident report has surfaced regarding the altercation.

"We have not learned of any official documentation of an incident to comment on," Dallas Cowboys head PR spokesperson Rich Dalrymple said by e-mail when contacted by FOXSportsSouthwest.com about the incident.
