Plunkett hits 6 off last ball as England ties with Sri Lanka

NOTTINGHAM, England (AP) Tailender Liam Plunkett smashed a six down the ground off the last ball of the game to give England a tie against Sri Lanka in the first one-day international on Tuesday.
Chasing Sri Lanka's 286-9, England fought back from almost certain defeat at 82-6, and then needed 40 off the last three overs to win.
England got 39 off those 18 balls but it was enough to tie Sri Lanka's score and complete a rousing fightback.

Jos Buttler made 93 and Chris Woakes was 95 not out to save England's innings before Plunkett's match-winning strike off Nuwan Pradeep.
Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews made 73 and then took 2-22 before he had to hobble off injured midway through the England innings.
