'Mom said to stop playing ball in the kitchen' - oh wait, that's a ballpark

BY Connor Kiesel • February 27, 2014

No, the Indians were not playing baseball in a kitchen, as much as the image above may make it look that way.

It's a simply an ad for K. Hovnanian Homes that was well placed in the seventh inning of Wednesday's spring training game.

Indians outfielder Carlos Moncrief makes a nice catch on a fly ball into right field from the Reds' Kristopher Negron -- and that nice stainless steel refrigerator that looks to be just feet away is not in any danger of damage.

Spring training games don't always feature the marquee names for the duration so this is one way to capture people's attention. But will it start an advertising trend of optical illusions?

A bar in the outfield background? Too crowded.

Swimming pool? Cause for unnecessary alarm.

Bounce house? Kids (and inner children) rejoice.
