India reaches 358-3 on day 2 vs. New Zealand

INDORE, India (AP) India extended its advantage on day two of the third test against New Zealand, reaching 358-3 in its first innings at lunch on Sunday.

Virat Kohli was 149 not out, while Ajinkya Rahane unbeaten on 124 at the break.

The duo extended their fourth-wicket partnership to 258 runs, third highest for India against New Zealand.

Matt Henry hit Rahane on his helmet early in the morning. But he shook it off to score his eighth test hundred, getting there off 210 deliveries. In all, he hit 11 fours and three sixes, two of them coming this session.

Kohli has faced 271 deliveries, including 15 fours.

The duo accelerated their pace in the morning session, scoring at 3.37 per over.
