ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates (AP) Fast bowler Shannon Gabriel took his maiden five-wicket haul but Pakistan's tailenders frustrated West Indies before being bowled out for 452 on the second day of the second test on Saturday.

Earlier, captain Misbah-ul-Haq missed out on a century after Pakistan resumed at 304-4. Gabriel had him trapped leg before wicket for 96 with the second new ball.

Nightwatchman Yasir Shah played a 23-run cameo and denied West Indies for nearly an hour before he fell to captain Jason Holder (3-47).

But Sarfraz Ahmed survived a a close runout early in his innings and made 56 off 59 balls with six fours while Sohail Khan (26) and Mohammad Nawaz (25) also made useful contributions.

Sohail survived two close lbw appeals against Gabriel before he smacked the fast bowler for three boundaries off four deliveries to help Pakistan cross the 450-run mark.
