Fort Wayne Mad Ants Reach Franchise Best 5-0 Start Following Win over the Iowa Energy

The Fort Wayne Mad Ants have now won five straight games after defeating the Iowa Energy in a close one.

Julyan Stone was the man of the hour for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Stone made a layup with 2.1 seconds left to win the game for Fort Wayne and help them improve to 5-0. Julyan finished with a double-double of 10 points and 11 assists.

Rakeem Christmas, who was recently sent back down to Fort Wayne after a short stint with the Pacers, scored 18 points on 6-11 shooting. He also grabbed 7 rebounds in 33 minutes.

Alex Poythress struggled a bit tonight, shooting 4-11 from the field for 11 points in 22 minutes. Poythress has been playing well for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants this season, though, averaging 17.2 points per game.

Travis Leslie scored a team-high 21 points on 8-16 shooting. To go with his scoring total, Leslie added 6 rebounds and 5 steals. Leslie is averaging 18.4 points per game and 8.0 rebounds per game this season.

The Fort Wayne Mad Ants will look to go 6-0 against the Raptors 905 in Toronto on November 29th.
