Illinois' CB Bentley named to Paul Hornung Award watch list

On Monday the watch list for the prestigious Paul Hornung Award was released. The Hornung award is given to the most versatile player in the nation. The Illinois Fighting Illini have a player on the list, cornerback and return man V'Angelo Bentley.

Bentley is the only player in Illinois history with a kickoff return, punt return, interception return and fumble return for touchdown in his career. Last season, he recorded 46 tackles, 3.5 TFLs, an interception, two pass breakups and two forced fumbles. He also led the Illini with 815 return yards which was good for third in the Big Ten.
