The Georgia Bulldogs looked to stay in-state as one of the top junior high school quarterbacks in the nation hails from nearby Powder Springs, Georgia in Bailey Hockman.

UGA's efforts appear to have paid off, as the team got the good news of Hockman's intentions to play for the in-state power on Friday.

Hockman in currently list as a four-star prospect by 247 Sports and the number two overall pocket passer in the country. The Georgia native also holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Florida State.

The left handed Hockman committed to the Bulldogs despite the team already having a commitment from 2016 five-star quarterback Jacob Eason. Give Hockman credit for not backing down from the likely competition the two could potentially have for years to come.
