Brian Neller scored 21 points and Maryland-Baltimore County defeated Binghamton 83-79 in overtime Thursday night, sending the Bearcats to their seventh straight loss.

The Bearcats (6-17, 3-7 America East Conference) benefited from the return of all-conference forward Greer Wright, who had missed three weeks with an injured ankle. Moussa Camara led Binghamton with 20 points and Wright had 14.

Travis King added 17 points for UMBC (4-19, 3-7).

UMBC, which snapped a three-game losing streak, had a chance to win at the end of regulation, when Laurence Jolicoeur shot three free throws with 2 seconds left. He made two, tying the score at 73 and forcing the extra period.

Two free throws and a layup by Justin Fry in overtime gave the Retrievers the lead for good at 79-75. Jolicoeur sealed the victory on two free throws with 2 seconds left in overtime.
