Chris Devine scored a career-high 29 points, which included two tie-breaking free throws with 7.3 seconds left, to give UC Santa Barbara a 68-66 victory over Cal Poly Saturday night. Devine made 10-of-16 shots and scored six of the last eight points for the Gauchos (10-13, 4-7 Big West Conference). Paul Roemer got the other two on a game-tying baseline jumper with 47.1 seconds left. Cal Poly (6-16, 3-9) took a 66-64 lead with 1:25 remaining on a free throw by Titus Shelton -- his team's only point in the last two minutes. The Gauchos shot 59.1 percent in the second half to finish at 46.4 for the game while the Mustangs hit on just 36.5 percent of their attempts.
