Jeron Belin's 3-pointer from the top of the key with 10 seconds left Monday gave Saint Peter's a 50-49 victory over Alabama in the seventh-place game of the Paradise Jam.

A turnover by the Crimson Tide (2-3) with 38 seconds left gave the ball to the Peacocks (1-3), who had not led in the second half, tying the game just once.

Tony Mitchell's last-second shot for Alabama missed.

Nick Leon, who led Saint Peter's with 15 points, scored 11 in the first half, which ended with Alabama leading 29-28.

Saint Peter's went scoreless for the first 6:21 of the second half as Alabama built its lead to 35-28. After Leon's layup tied the score, 43-43, with 6:13 remaining, a layup by Mitchell put the Tide back in front.

Mitchell finished with 15 points to lead Alabama, and JaMychal Green added 13.

Steven Samuels contributed 14 points for Saint Peter's.
