LEWISTON, N.Y. (AP) Umar Shannon drained a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer, saving Quinnipiac in a 90-88 victory over Niagara on Saturday.

The Bobcats faced an early 17-point deficit in the first half, but charged back into the lead near the midway mark in the second.

Ike Azotam made a layup to make it 87-86, but Niagara's Antoine Mason was sent to the line and sank both free throws to grab a lead with 1.7 seconds left. That set up Shannon's game-winner as time expired.

Quinnipiac (19-8, 14-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) shot 47.3 percent from the field and outrebounded Niagara 51-29. Ousmane Drame finished with a career-high 26 points and hauled in 18 rebounds, with nine coming offensively. Azotam also had 26 points and pulled down 13 boards.
