Maryland-Eastern Shore rallies past Navy in 53-46 win

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) Devin Martin scored 17 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Maryland-Eastern Shore in a big second half rally to take a 53-46 win over Navy on Saturday night.

Trailing 27-22 at the break, Maryland-Eastern Shore (5-7) closed out the game with a 19-2 run that included back-to-back 3-pointers from Martin, who also sank the go-ahead free throw. Navy (3-8) was held scoreless over the final 3 minutes and sank just two free throws, both from Shawn Anderson, over the last 8:54 in the second period.

Mike Myers, who tied the game at 44 on a dunk with 6:05 to go, finished with 15 points on 6-for-7 shooting for the Hawks, who hit 51.4 percent from floor and have won four of their last five games.

Brandon Venturini led Navy (3-8) with 13 points and five assists.
