Mike Moore scored 15 points and Charles Jenkins added 13 to lead Hofstra past Holy Cross 71-56 on Wednesday night.

The Pride (7-4) led 26-12 with 5:22 left in the opening half and entered halftime with a 34-22 advantage. Hofstra shot 50 percent in the first half (14 of 28), including 4 for 6 from 3-point range.

The Crusaders (1-9) started the second half on a 26-17 run, cutting their deficit to 43-38 with 12:55 left to play.

Hofstra answered with a 21-7 run, capped by a 3-pointer from Moore with 6:43 to go. The Pride led by no fewer than 14 the rest of the way.

Andrew Keister scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Holy Cross, which was coming off its first win of the year. The Crusaders defeated Marist 75-57 on Dec. 19.

Jordan Stevens scored 11 points, Devin Brown had 10 and Eric Obeysekere pulled down 10 rebounds for Holy Cross in the loss.
