Fairleigh Dickinson 73, St. Peter's 62
George Goode scored 16 points and Lonnie Hayes had nine of his 11 in the second half as Fairleigh Dickinson earned its first victory of the season, 73-62 over Saint Peter's on Friday night.
Kinu Rochford added 15 points and Melquan Bolding 14 for the Knights (1-2), who shot 56.5 percent (26 of 46), including 61.5 percent (16 of 26) in the second half.
The Peacocks (0-3) shot 34.3 percent (23 of 67) overall, led by 15 points from Jack Hill and 14 from Chris Prescott.
Fairleigh Dickinson led 28-23 at halftime and increased its lead to 12 by scoring the first seven points of the second half - five of them by Lonnie Robinson.
The Knights also had a big edge in free throws, making 19 of 28, including 12 of 19 in the second half, to 8 of 16 in the game for Saint Peter's.
