Mike DiNunno scored 20 points and Eastern Kentucky made 12 3-pointers en route to a 71-59 come-from-behind win over Winthrop on Saturday.

The Colonels (1-1), coming off a 76-66 loss to Mississippi State, fell behind 7-0 and trailed 20-11 with 11:38 left in the first half. Eastern Kentucky used an 11-2 run to tie it at 22 with 6:59 to go, but did not take the lead for good until Jeff Johnson's 3-pointer made it 32-30.

The Colonels opened the second half with a 10-2 run to pull away.

Eastern Kentucky, which has led the Ohio Valley Conference in 3-pointers made for three straight years, was 12 of 30 (40 percent) from beyond the arc and 24 of 50 (48 percent) from the field

Winthrop (0-1), led by Matt Morgan with 14 points, shot 36.2 percent from the field (21 of 58) and hit 4 of 19 3-pointers (21.1 percent).
