VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) Charlie Lee scored 17 points and Trey Lewis added 16 on Friday to lead fourth-seeded Cleveland State to a 70-53 win over fifth-seeded Detroit in the second round of the Horizon League tournament.

Lee hit all four of his 3-pointers and scored 14 points in the second half as the Vikings (18-13), who faced top-seeded Valparaiso in Saturday's semifinals, took control. Leading 31-21 at the half, Cleveland State pushed that to 25 with 11:22 to play.

The Vikings made 15 of 24 shots in the second half, including 5 of 8 3-pointers. Only 11 of 21 free throw shooting and 20 turnovers kept it relatively close.

Chris Jenkins led Detroit (15-18) with 14 points, Jarrod Williams added 12 and Paris Bass 10. However, Juwan Howard Jr., the leading scorer for the Titans at 17.9 points a game, was held to 3 on a 3-pointer with 3 seconds left in the game.
