Steelers say Ndamukong Suh kicked Ben Roethlisberger in the knee during loss

The Pittsburgh Steelers believe Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh added another dirty play to his long list of transgressions, and the Steelers want the league to investigate the incident.

Pittsburgh claims that Suh kicked Ben Roethlisberger in the knee during its 30-15 loss to Miami last Sunday. During the fourth quarter, Suh was being blocked by right guard David DeCastro when he got close to Roethlisberger, raised his leg and kicked the Steelers quarterback in the knee.

"I'm not sure what he was thinking," DeCastro told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette when asked about Suh's kick. "You'd have to ask him what he was thinking. I heard Ben saying 'He kicked me,' but I didn't really see it until we watched the film."

Footage does appear to substantiate the team's claim.

According to the outlet, the Steelers filed a formal complaint with the league and asked for the play to be reviewed.

Roethlisberger underwent surgery on his knee to repair a torn meniscus Monday, but the team has not released a firm timetable for his return.

Suh has been involved in a number of on-field incidents that crossed the line during his Pro Bowl career. While playing for the Lions, he was suspended in 2014 for stepping on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and also stomped the arm of Green Bay guard Evan Dietrich-Smith in 2011.
