Colts LT Castonzo hopeful he'll play against Houston

Indianapolis Colts left tackle Anthony Castonzo, who has missed the team's last three games with a knee injury, said he's 'optimistic' he'll be able to play in Sunday's matchup against the Houston Texans.

Castonzo suffered a sprained MCL in the Colts' 24-21 win over the Atlanta Falcons on Nov. 22, but said he hopes to be able to take part in the team's practice on Wednesday in advance of the Houston game.

In addition to helping him get healthy, the five-year veteran said his time away from the lineup helped rekindle his passion for football.

“Went out (Monday), did some stuff and it felt really good," Castonzo said." Definitely still got a little bit more to overcome but feeling pretty good. This is one that I’m definitely wanting to be back by.”

With J.J. Watt and the Texans defense on tap, the Colts would no doubt welcome Castonzo's return.

“Being out for a few weeks, watching our guys come in from practice and come in from games and have that stress from a game on Sunday, that thing you get to look forward to, you really miss it. I’ve kind of re-realized how much I enjoy playing football so I can’t wait to get back out there and I think I am going to approach it with a different attitude, more than just I’m doing this because it’s my job and this is how I do it. Do everything right, because I really love it and I’ve re-found that.”
