Ravens WR who missed rookie season with injury gets more terrible news

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman, a first-round pick who missed his rookie season, has suffered another knee injury, according to multiple reports. ESPN and NFL.com report that it is a partially torn ACL.

Perriman will have Dr. James Andrews perform surgery on his left knee, which he reportedly injured on the last day of OTAs. It's not clear if it will end his season.

"I was just talking to Lardarius Webb about how good Breshad was looking and how we were looking forward to seeing him play this year," Ravens cornerback Shareece Wright told ESPN's Josina Anderson. "This was my first opportunity to actually see him in person since this is my first offseason with the Ravens. I just hope he recovers and the injury is not as bad when they look deeper."

Perriman, the 22-year-old son of former NFL receiver Brett Perriman, was selected with the 26th pick in the 2015 draft out of Central Florida. He suffered a sprained PCL in his right knee on the first day of training camp last year and eventually needed season-ending surgery to repair a tear.
