Ville Husso (center) has taken the ice for the Blues in preseason, but not the regular season.

ST. LOUIS -- The yo-yo on which the St. Louis Blues move Ville Husso up and down snapped back to St. Louis on Wednesday when the NHL club recalled the 23-year-old goaltender from the AHL's San Antonio Rampage.

Husso, who has been backing up Jake Allen since last week with Carter Hutton out with a neck injury, was back with San Antonio to get some more ice time.

Husso took the loss Tuesday in San Antonio's 2-1 loss to the San Diego Gulls.

Husso is 14-12-0 in 35 games with the Rampage this season. He ranks fifth in the AHL with a .928 save percentage and is tied for sixth with a 2.31 goals-against average.

Husso figures to be Allen's backup when the Blues host the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday night.
