E. Washington QB Gubrud and LB Calhoun suspended for 1 game

CHENEY, Wash. (AP) Eastern Washington quarterback Gage Gubrud and linebacker Kurt Calhoun have been suspended for violations of team rules and will not play at North Dakota this weekend.

Coach Aaron Best says Gubrud and Calhoun will practice this week but won't travel to Saturday's game. Best declined to reveal details of the violations.

Both players have started every game this season.

Gubrud has thrown for 2,897 yards and 22 touchdowns this season. Calhoun is second on the team with 68 tackles.
