Duke leads Sacred Heart over Bucknell 30-14

LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Kevin Duke threw for a touchdown and ran for another as Sacred Heart beat Bucknell 30-14 on Saturday.

Duke had 138 yards passing and 104 rushing for the Pioneers (2-0). Jordan Meachum ran for 178 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries. Martin Gustafsson and Nathan Balthazard each caught a scoring pass and Josh Freiria kicked a 30-yard field goal.

Duke opened the second half by leading the Pioneers 80 yards in seven plays and taking it in himself from nine yards out to give Sacred Heart a 21-14 lead. Freiria booted his field goal midway through the fourth quarter, stretching it to 24-14 with 7:06 to go.

Meachum ran for a 30-yard score early in the first quarter. In the second, a wobbly Duke pass was picked off by Bucknell's Fisayo Oluleye who returned it 54 yards for a score and the teams were tied 14-all at halftime.

John Chiarolanzio threw for 100 yards with one interception for the Bison (0-2).
