ASU women get No. 7 seed, will play in NCAA Tournament for 5th consecutive year

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona State  women's basketball team was picked for a fifth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and will be the No. 7 seed in the Kansas City Regional. The Sun Devils, who finished sixth in the Pac-12 (20-12 overall, 10-8 conference) will open up tournament play against 10th-seed Nebraska (21-10, 11-5 Big Ten) in Austin, Texas, on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. (Arizona time). The winner will play on Monday against the winner of second-seeded Texas vs. 15th-seed Maine.  ASU is making its 16th overall appearance in the NCAA Tournament and 13th under head coach Charli Turner Thorne. The five consecutive appearances ties a school record (2005-09).
