San Diego Padres: Petco Park to Host World Baseball Classic Games
As San Diego Padres fans turn their attention towards to 2017, they can now also look forward to World Baseball Classic matchups at Petco Park.
In March 2017, the excitement for a new season of San Diego Padres baseball will be slightly postponed due to the World Baseball Classic. As recently announced, the event’s second round matchups will take place at Petco Park, the home of the Padres.
For the Padres, this doesn’t mean a whole lot. The games will take over their home ballpark for six days, but will not interfere with any of the team’s normally scheduled events at the park.
For the fans though, the opportunity to experience an international baseball event ought to be cherished. Some of the best players in the world will be on display, although no Padres have committed to participating in the event thus far.
