Cowboys reportedly fine Dez Bryant for missing team meetings, MRI

Published Sep. 28, 2016 9:57 p.m. ET

Dez Bryant might have avoided a serious knee injury during the Dallas Cowboys' Week 3 victory, but it appears the injury was still costly to the star wideout.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Bryant was fined by the organization after missing team meetings Tuesday and a scheduled MRI because he showed up late to the team's facilities. The report does not reveal how much Bryant was docked for his tardiness.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Tuesday that Bryant had yet to have an MRI on his knee but did not disclose the reason for the delay. Bryant, originally, was scheduled to have the exam on his knee Monday.

The MRI revealed Wednesday that Bryant suffered a hairline fracture, but he still might play Sunday.
