Jakub Malek - Shuts out Syracuse Malek posted a 15-save shutout in AHL Utica's 3-0 win over Syracuse on Friday.

Impact Malek earned his first AHL shutout in just his 11th appearance in the league. He's 4-6-1 with a 3.01 GAA and an .887 save percentage this season. Malek is unlikely to be close to an NHL call-up, as his AHL teammate Nico Daws would be next in line should the Devils need to replace Jacob Markstrom or Jake Allen.

Impact Allen struggled across the first two periods, where he allowed three of the Penguins' four goals. After a solid start to the campaign, the 35-year-old netminder has a 1-3-1 record over his last five starts.
