Tschida out for Dbacks-Padres

Published Aug. 26, 2012 9:35 p.m. ET

Crew chief Tim Tschida has been scratched from a game between the San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks.

Tschida was scheduled to work at third base, but the Diamondbacks announced just before the first pitch that he was out due to ''personal medical reasons.''

A three-man crew of Jeff Nelson, Chris Guccione and Angel Campos worked the game with Tschida out.

The 52-year-old Tschida has 26 years of service in the majors and has worked three World Series, along with two All-Star games.
