Tigers sent Worth, Marte outright to Triple-A

The Tigers have sent right-hander Luis Marte and infielder Danny Worth outright to Triple-A Toledo.

Detroit announced Monday that both players cleared waivers and will be non-roster invitees to major spring training camp.

Worth has hit .242 in 115 games over the last four seasons for the Tigers, although he played only three games in the majors this year. Marte made 17 appearances for Detroit in 2011 and 2012.
