WHAT IT MEANS

The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) is committed to raising public awareness about this disease, serving all those touched by it and raising critical funds for potentially life-saving research. The Lymphoma Research Foundation is the nation's largest nonprofit dedicated exclusively to lymphoma. The Foundation seeks to positively impact all those affected by lymphoma by investing millions of dollars each year in lymphoma-specific research and providing educational resources and services that offer hope for a better tomorrow. The Foundation's mission is to eradicate lymphoma and serve all those touched by this blood cancer.

LRF came across the BowTie Cause when it discovered that its founder, Dhani Jones' friend and inspiration of BowTie Cause, Kunta Littlejohn, was diagnosed with stage 4 non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

The bowtie design depicts the two circles of LRF's logo and symbolizes the partnership of the Foundation with each individual person affected by a lymphoma diagnosis and the Foundation's dual mission to eradicate lymphoma and serve those touched by this disease. The bowtie was designed as part of the Foundation's #EraseLymphoma campaign, which seeks to assist young lymphoma patients in addressing the unique medical challenges, psychosocial needs and access issues they may encounter by providing expert materials and programs. With an increased focus of lymphoma, we can empower patients with the knowledge they need to beat this blood cancer and raise the funds needed to cure it.
