San Diego Padres outfielder Carlos Quentin will have surgery on his right knee and is done for the season.

Quentin has been on the disabled list since Aug. 10 with a strained knee and will have surgery in the next week or so to clean out loose fragments and scar tissue. It will be his third operation on the knee in 18 months.

Quentin hit .275 with 13 home runs and 44 RBIs in 82 games with the Padres this season.
