Rays' RF Myers fouls ball off leg, leaves game

BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) Tampa Bay Rays right fielder Wil Myers left the game with a bruised quadriceps after fouling a ball off his right leg in the third inning against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Saturday.

Myers, the American League rookie of the year last season, bent over a few times. He was helped to the dugout by Rays athletic trainer Paul Harker.

Myers is listed as day-to-day.

Last season, he batted .293 with 13 home runs in 93 games.
