Orioles manager Showalter unfazed by division rivals making big trades

The Toronto Blue Jays shocked the baseball world by acquiring Colorado Rockies superstar shortstop Troy Tulowitzki.

Some might think that the move puts pressure on the New York Yankees or Baltimore Orioles to make a move. Not so fast, my friend.

In speaking with reporters, manager Buck Showalter said he wasn't upset by his team's lack of moves:

“It doesn’t upset me. There’s not a 26 or 27-man roster. If you take somebody in, then somebody goes away. And that’s the last thing I want players to be thinking about.”

While Showalter admitted that the Orioles are "kicking a lot of things around" on the trade market, he's certainly not eager to alter his Major League roster:

“When people are asking for people that are part of what you’re trying to do this year, it’s tough. If they go away, then who?"

Teams have three days to complete their moves before the non-waiver trade deadline on July 31.
