Colorado manager ejected in 3rd inning

Published May. 24, 2011 10:44 p.m. ET

Colorado manager Jim Tracy was ejected in the third inning of the second game of a doubleheader between the Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night.

Tracy ran from the dugout to argue the call when home plate umpire Mark Wegner ruled that catcher Miguel Montero's throw to pitcher Joe Saunders, who was covering home after a pitch got away, hit Dexter Fowler trying to score from third.

Saunders was shaken up on the play and was down for a minute but stayed the game.

It was Tracy's first ejection of the season.
