Left-hander Sean Burnett and the Washington Nationals have gone to salary arbitration, with the pitcher asking for $925,000 and the team offering $775,000.

Arbitrators Fredric Horowitz, Robert Bailey and Robert Herzog heard the case Thursday, and a decision is expected Friday.

Burnett was 2-3 with a 3.12 ERA and one save in 71 relief appearances last season, when he made $408,5000.
