StaTuesday: Milwaukee Bucks who saw 20-20

When Giannis Antetokounmpo pulled down his 20th rebound at the tail end of Milwaukee's win in Washington on Monday night, he wasn't just extending his career high he also put himself in rarified company in Bucks history.

Antetokounmpo became just the 13th player for Milwaukee to post a game with at least 20 points (he had 27 against the Wizards) and 20 rebounds. It was the first time a Bucks player had accomplished the feat in nearly three years and just the eighth time this century.

It probably shouldn't surprise that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has the most in franchise history -- accumulating 31 of the 51 Bucks 20-20 games. Andrew Bogut has the second most -- with four. Swen Nater played just one season in Milwaukee but had three 20-20 games, including one with 30 points and 33 rebounds -- the only time in franchise history a player had 30+ rebounds.

Here's a list of all the 20-20 games in franchise history, excluding the 31 by Abdul-Jabbar:

Zaza Pachulia 3/20/2015 BRK 22 21
Giannis Antetokounmpo 1/15/2018 WAS 27 20

Some of the more curious names on the list:

-- Dan Gadzuric: He scored 20+ points just three times in his career. His 21-point, 20-rebound game came five days after the first 20-point game of his career (22 in a loss to Boston). In fact, the Bucks also lost the game in which he had 20-20. Overall, Milwaukee is 31-20 when a player has a 20-20 game.

-- Ervin Johnson: Johnson averaged just 8.0 points the season he had a 20-20, and that game was the first time he reached 20 points all season (he'd do it two more times in April).

-- Dave Meyers: Like Johnson, Meyers wasn't much of a scorer in his 20-20 season (9.6 ppg) and reached 20+ points just three times. He'd top the 31 points he recorded in his 20-20 game just once (32 in November 1977).

Posting 20 points and 20 rebounds in a game isn't commonplace among other NBA teams, either. Antetokounmpo's was the 14th in the league this season done by seven players and the third this month. New Orleans' DeMarcus Cousins has four 20-20 games this season, Detroit's Andre Drummond three (including one against Milwaukee in a game the Bucks won), Charlotte's Dwight Howard two, and joining Antetokounmpo with one are the Clippers' DeAndre Jordan, the Knicks' Enes Kanter, Minnesota's Karl-Anthony Towns and Miami's Hassan Whiteside.

Interestingly, Antetokounmpo's recent effort moved the season record of teams with a 20-20 player to an even 7-7 on the season.

But the bigger question in Milwaukee is -- what can Antetokounmpo do next?
