Ted Ginn would probably like to forget this kick return fail for the ages

The Carolina Panthers put up 46 points to beat the 49ers at home by 19, but Ted Ginn gave San Francisco some hope of a comeback at the start of the fourth quarter with a disastrous kick return that set up a 49ers touchdown.

With the Panthers up 31-13, Ginn attempted to field a kick at around the six yard line - but he didn't catch the ball. The ball struck the turf at his feet and bounced backward, high above Ginn's head. He tried to grab the ball with 49ers players bearing down at full speed, but it bounced between his legs and was recovered by San Francisco. One play later, the 49ers were within two scores.

Ginn made up for it with a 59-yard kick return following the 49ers' touchdown.
